There is a House Resolution H.R.393 that will bring back the draft if passed. It is in committee now. It will require all citizens male and female between 18 and 42 to be inducted (drafted) into the uniformed (armed, military) services during wartime (now). Title: To require all persons in the United States between the ages of 18 and 42 to perform national service, either as a member of the uniformed services or in civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, to authorize the induction of persons in the uniformed services during wartime to meet end-strength requirements of the uniformed services, to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to make permanent the favorable treatment afforded combat pay under the earned income tax credit, and for other purposes.

Here’s what I don’t get. Rangel is a democrat criticizing the President, the war, the deaths in Iraq, and the draft on one hand, and yet sponsoring a draft bill H.R.393on the other hand. Does he think this sleight of hand, this cheap magician’s trick will go unnoticed?

Contact Congressman Rangel and tell him NO DRAFT, NO WAY
