Kristoffer “Kris” Kristofferson is a legendary American country music singer, songwriter and actor. He is best known for hits such as “Me and Bobby McGee”, “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down”, and “Help Me Make It Through the Night”. He is also a political activist. Kris released a music video about how he feels about George Bush, and the way Bush is handling the world today. The video “In The News” has reached #18 on Neil Young’s Living With War Today. In my opinion, Kris’s video is a form of art as a political statement. See the video and judge for yourself. Is art political? How does it affect you, and the way you feel about the world today?
My idea of the perfect vacation is somewhere on the ocean, anywhere with palm trees, and a beach, with good music playing in the background, a tropical paradise if you will. I really could use a vacation, but since I don’t have the funds, this will have to do.
This is a powerful anti-war video. The song is Don’t Think Twice sung by John Kasper, of the John Kasper Band. The video montage is a collection of photos showing the results of war. I made this video to aid John in protesting the war in Iraq.
On September 11th, 2001 there was a conspiracy waged for war with Iraq and Afghanistan for oil and corporate greed.
This video is a reminder of that, and is a compilation of clips I put together, with a song by the legendary musical activist John Kasper, whose musical talent and ambition rival that of big-time musicians. Anthony Krizan of the legendary *Spin Doctors* produced “Conspiracy of Silence” with the New Jersey based John Kasper Band.
One of the greatest rockers that ever lived lived, Neil Young, has started a sight chock full of anti-war protest music. You can check it out at Living With War Today. He has released a new cd too “Living With War”.
“The release of Living with War prompted a fury of controversy and media attention that Young hadn’t encountered in nearly a decade, but all the hoopla missed the point that this is perhaps the artist’s most skillful work to date. The album still boasts Young’s trademark political consciousness, but it also heralds a foray into musical philosophy that mixes rebellion and rock–tinged with soul and blues.”
And please be sure to check out #10 John Kasper on Neil’s top ten list in the upper left. John is a hot rocker quickly climbing the charts. You can view his website and listen to some more of his music at John’s official MySpace here. You can also check out John at his official website JohnKasper.com
Their sites are chock full of great music. Download some tunes. Burn a cd. Enlighten your friends.
I can not understand what she is singing about. The song is in Chinese. However, I would like to think it is about something so beautiful it hurts just to look at it.
