The Perfect Vacation
My idea of the perfect vacation is somewhere on the ocean, anywhere with palm trees, and a beach, with good music playing in the background, a tropical paradise if you will. I really could use a vacation, but since I don’t have the funds, this will have to do.
What is your idea of the perfect vacation?

the sound of the waves (commercial-free).
and sunshine that just doesn’t quit.

NY in the fall. The NY Philharmonic, a fine hotel, outstanding meals…jazz in a joint south of Bleecker.

Newport Beach, daughters playing in the sand, wife on the towel reading People Magazine, me under an umbrella in a chair with my ukulele. Three or four days of that and I can unwind.

You hit the nail on the head. A warm beach, the smell of jerk chicken, some Bob Marley or Jimmy Buffett and some clear blue water.
That’s paradise.

On my sailboat with a 12 knot offshore breeze, sun slowly setting, palms waving from the shore, ice in my margarita slowly melting, with Bob softly singing “No Woman No Cry” in the background. One day soon.
